Tim Hudak Honours Art Fleming in Legislature

Queen’s Park – Today MPP Tim Hudak Honoured the late Art Fleming with an Official Member’s Statement in the House.

Just after 1 p.m. on October 30, Hudak stood to honour Fleming for his contributions to the community of Beamsville, both as a businessman and philanthropist, as well as his friendship to Hudak over the years.

Art was “one of the most respected and beloved individuals in Beamsville,” said Hudak in his statement, calling Fleming an extraordinary man. “Today, I want to salute an extraordinary and historic figure in Beamsville.”

Hudak pointed to Fleming’s incredible contribution to the community he lived in as well as the wisdom and kindness he displayed throughout his life for the reason he honoured the Beamsville man in the Legislature. Hudak also acknowledged Art’s wife, Val, and their family. “I have always been in awe of their incredible dedication and generosity to the community, the unshakable bonds of the Fleming family and their strong faith.”

“Art’s legacy is undeniable,” said Hudak. “He was a remarkable man who will be so deeply missed.”

Fleming, who passed away on Oct. 12 at the age of 90, will be remembered during a celebration of his life at his family home on Sunday, Nov. 2.
